These terms govern the use of KickOff by sports clubs ("Clubs") and by parents/guardians who register players ("Users") through the Platform. By using KickOff, you agree to these terms.

1. What KickOff is

KickOff is a registration and administration platform that lets a Club collect player and parent information, documents, consents, and payments online. KickOff is a software tool used by the Club — it is not itself a sports club, league, or national federation, and does not organise matches, training, or team selection.

2. The Club's responsibilities

• The Club is responsible for the accuracy of its own fee structure, age groups, and registration requirements as configured on the Platform
• The Club is responsible for reviewing and approving or rejecting registrations
• The Club remains responsible for its own compliance with any applicable sporting body's rules and regulations (e.g. SAFA/MYSAFA for football)
• The Club is responsible for keeping its own login credentials and access to the Platform secure

3. The User's (parent/guardian's) responsibilities

• You confirm that the information you provide about yourself and your child is accurate and that you have the legal authority (as parent or legal guardian) to register the child
• You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for activity on your account
• You are responsible for uploading valid, unaltered documents

4. Payments

• Registration fees are set by each Club, not by KickOff. KickOff charges a separate platform fee per registered player, which may be included within the total amount charged at checkout
• Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, PayFast. KickOff does not store your card details
• Refunds of Club registration fees are at the discretion of the Club, not KickOff, unless the issue is due to a technical error on the Platform's part
• Where instalment payment plans are offered, missed instalments may result in a registration being placed on hold pending payment, as configured by the Club

5. Data and privacy

Information collected through KickOff is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Limitation of liability

• KickOff provides the registration platform "as is" and makes reasonable efforts to keep it available and accurate, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
• KickOff is not liable for a Club's decisions to approve, reject, or manage a registration, for on-field injuries or incidents, or for disputes between a Club and a parent/guardian — these remain matters between the Club and its members, typically governed by the Club's own indemnity and membership terms
• KickOff is not liable for outages, delays, or errors caused by third-party services we rely on (including payment processing, hosting, or communication providers) beyond our reasonable control
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under South African law

7. Account suspension and termination

A Club or User may stop using the Platform at any time. KickOff may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Platform. A Club may request an export of its own registration data upon leaving the Platform.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Platform evolves. Continued use of KickOff after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "last updated" date on this page.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
